Bachelor "umdenken"
In the course of my bachelor thesis, I dealt with the topic "The women's movement of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s". For this, I created three editorial designs - one magazine per decade. First, I developed a figurative mark with the name "umdenken" (rethink), which contains cut letters. The shifting of the letters is meant to represent the injustice in our society, which hopefully will no longer exist in the near future. Inspired by the logo design, I developed my own headline font "Femfont" which appears in the headlines and initials inside the magazines. The magazines are in black and white, but there is one highlight color per magazine. For the 50s issue, I used the color neon yellow, for the 60s neon green, and for the 70s neon pink. The neon is meant to represent the expressive, the breaking out of the norms, just like the feminists of that time did. Large protest phrases inspired by poster lettering adorn the designs of the pages and the overlay of bitmap and image picks up the idea of the logo.
